Association of Child Growth Failure Indicators With Household Sanitation Practices in India (1998-2021): Spatiotemporal Observational Study

The spatial findings show that the CGF and water, sanitation, and hygiene (Wa SH) indices are nonrandom at the national and district levels. Significant clusters for these indicators were found in several states. However, during the NFHS-4 survey, indicators improved for both factors in states such as Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and Tripura.

Assessing the Effectiveness of a Multicomponent Intervention on Hand Hygiene and Well-Being in Primary Health Care Centers and Schools Lacking Functional Water Supply in Protracted Conflict Settings: Protocol for a Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial

Globally, approximately 3% of deaths and 5% of disability-adjusted life years are attributable to the effects of a lack of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) [1]. More than half of WASH-attributable deaths occur in sub-Saharan Africa [1]. Hand hygiene is crucial to sustaining individual and community health. Pathogens can easily be transmitted from contaminated hands to other people’s hands, eyes, and mouths [2].

The Impact of Rapid Handpump Repairs on Diarrhea Morbidity in Children: Cross-Sectional Study in Kwale County, Kenya

We then performed a cross-sectional analysis, fitting multivariable logistic regression models of self-reported diarrhea using the data from the 2015 household survey to adjust for covariates that have been shown to affect diarrhea period prevalence in the WASH-related literature.

Use of Technology to Access Health Information/Services and Subsequent Association With WASH (Water Access, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Knowledge and Behaviors Among Women With Children Under 2 Years of Age in Indonesia: Cross-sectional Study

While there is research about mobile phones, there is a lack of studies on using smartphones, tablets, and computers to access information about WASH and safe defecation practices to improve childhood health in rural Indonesia. The purpose of our study was to explore the relationship of accessing WASH-related knowledge using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with improvements in WASH knowledge and behaviors among women in Indonesia.
