Evaluation of Financial Support Workshops for Patients Under State Pension Age With Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy: Survey Study

These include Hastings Advice and Representation Centre (HARC) [22], Citizens Advice [23], and Welfare Benefits Unit [24]. In fact, certain charities such as the British Heart Foundation have dedicated web pages specific to applying for financial support [25]. Some, such as Age Scotland, offer workshops to their beneficiaries about accessing benefits [26]. However, there is no literature assessing the utility of these interventions.

Factors Influencing Telemedicine Adoption Among Health Care Professionals: Qualitative Interview Study

Factors Influencing Telemedicine Adoption Among Health Care Professionals: Qualitative Interview Study

The EVF integrates perceived risks, perceived benefits, trust, and behavioral intentions, all of which are critical to the adoption of new technologies [44]. Figure 1 [40] depicts the layout of the EVF in which trust positively affects perceived benefits and behavioral intentions but negatively affects perceived risks. In addition, perceived risks have a negative relationship, and perceived benefits have a positive relationship with behavioral intentions.

Perceived Benefit and Satisfaction With a Tablet Computer and an Emergency Smartwatch by Older Adults and Their Relatives: Prospective Real-World Pilot Study

Perceived Benefit and Satisfaction With a Tablet Computer and an Emergency Smartwatch by Older Adults and Their Relatives: Prospective Real-World Pilot Study

Nevertheless, studies investigating the benefits and usability of ATs for older adults in the real-world environment are still lacking [15-17]. A focus on multimorbid and frail populations is of special interest, as one would expect that this cohort might especially benefit from the use of ATs. In addition, the use of ATs by older frail and nonfrail adults often depends on and includes relatives and caregivers who significantly contribute to the (successful) application of ATs.

Barriers to COVID-19 Vaccination in a Troop of Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team Marines: Observational Study

This is because they do not adequately account for the breadth of people’s barriers to performing the behavior or adequately enhance the benefits of the behavior [17,18]. Counteracting a crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic necessitates understanding how people make decisions, what gets in the way, and what gets people to take action [19]. Qualitative research approaches that yield richer insights might contribute to a better understanding of these nuances [20-23].

Practical Benefits, Challenges, and Recommendations on Social Media Recruitment: Multi-Stakeholder Interview Study

Practical Benefits, Challenges, and Recommendations on Social Media Recruitment: Multi-Stakeholder Interview Study

However, the inconsistent reporting of social media as a recruitment tool for research makes it difficult to assess the benefits and challenges of different study designs [15]. Moreover, a review of the effectiveness of social media recruitment has been inconclusive [12]. The lack of guidelines and inconsistent reporting has led us to the following research question: What benefits and challenges do stakeholders perceive regarding social media–based recruitment for research studies?

Human-Centered Design to Address Biases in Artificial Intelligence

Human-Centered Design to Address Biases in Artificial Intelligence

As AI applications take on more central roles in biomedical research and health care [3], it is crucial to determine how best to maximize their benefits while minimizing their risks to patients and health care systems. One way to accomplish this is by involving a diverse group of stakeholders in the development and implementation of AI in health care.

The Best Predictor of the Future—the Metaverse, Mental Health, and Lessons Learned From Current Technologies

The Best Predictor of the Future—the Metaverse, Mental Health, and Lessons Learned From Current Technologies

However, it remains possible that the metaverse will be restricted, at least initially, to specific subpopulations; should this be the case, research may need to be focused on those populations to reduce harms and maximize benefits of the new technology. Having acknowledged these uncertainties, in this viewpoint, we will adopt the following as our guiding question: “What will the effects of the metaverse be on mental health?”

Digital Divide in Perceived Benefits of Online Health Care and Social Welfare Services: National Cross-Sectional Survey Study

Digital Divide in Perceived Benefits of Online Health Care and Social Welfare Services: National Cross-Sectional Survey Study

Benefits of online health and social care services were measured with 3 scales on perceived health, economic, and collaboration benefits. Health benefits were measured with 6 items such as “online services help citizens self-manage their health/well-being.” Cronbach alpha for this scale was α=.90. Economic benefits included 4 items (α=.87) such as “online services provide useful reminders (eg, the time of reception, laboratory tests, renewing prescriptions etc).”

These benefits are realized by the patient, the provider, and the organization. The EHR can also be associated with key qualities of both efficiency and effectiveness through improved data analysis and audits, coding and links to billing, going green or storage expenses, and record retention and proper safeguarding [8].
